Wind Turbine Fluids

Plurasafe® WT series of fluids are a new class of polyalkylene glycols (PAG) that are specifically designed
to work on the high load demands that are experienced in the wind turbine gearboxes.  The advantage
that these products have over conventional lubricants are as follows:

• Reduces and/or prevents micro-pitting that is typically experienced in the type of application
• Decreases the coefficient of friction to enhance the performance aspect of the gearbox whereby
  the generation of energy is performed at a higher conversion factor rate.
• These products are water soluble, biodegradable, and non-toxic allowing for greater protection
  of the environment wherever wind turbines are installed.
• Viscosity ratings vary depending on required application
• Freezing points are in the range of -50°F and the high temperature levels are 180°F allowing
  for a wide operational range.
